Syrian artist Usama Alnassar has gifted his stunning sculpture Theatre of Trees, a 27m diameter, camphor amphitheatre, to the people or Byron Shire.  At an extraordinary meeting this week, Byron Shire Council resolved to accept Usama’s gift and agreed that the work should stay in its current site at Clarke’s Beach Reserve until a decision is made on its permanent location in the shire by the Public Art Committee.
